"Growing Through Personal Progress"

For one of her 10 hour projects Kaitlyn was in charge of our Young Women In Excellence this year. We had a lot of fun planning the big event together. She went back and forth on picking a theme, but finally chose a garden theme.

Here are the cute invitations she created.

The girls decorated clay pots during one of our mutual nights. They put their names on their flower pots so they could mark which display was theirs.

Kaitlyn planted a flower in each of the pots - they all turned out very cute.

Kaitlyn was so excited to decorate we went to the church right after school to get started. We put this table in front of the gym with the programs they could pick up on the way in.

I was glad I made Kaitlyn take a few pictures before it started because they were the only pictures I took that night - it got a little busy. I'm sad I didn't get pictures of the other girls that night. Kaitlyn conducted the night - here she is posing for me at the podium.

We had a great time decorating and we were pleased with how it turned out.

Loved the candy pots filled with candy!

Kaitlyn's display of some of the things she has done in Personal Progress this year.

We gave each of the girls a bookmark and a felt flower on a clothes pin with a magnet. We also made one for the parents with ideas on how they could help their daughters with Personal Progress. Crossing my fingers it inspires them a little :)
