Turkey Time

We found these cute felt turkeys and decided to
make placecards for our Thanksgiving table.

Kaitlyn did a great job making them -
didn't they turn out cute!

Scouting for Food

Last Saturday we went Scouting for Food.
Well, we hung flyers to let people know the Sounts would
be by the next Saturday to collect food.
As with most things Logan decided it was a competition
and wanted to finish first. He ran most of the way.
We were done in 45 minutes - it was a fun family event.

Soccer Season

This was Kaitlyn's 8th season playing soccer.
Her team struggled this year, but as always
Kaitlyn had a great time.
Every year at the end of year party her coach
will say how fun it is to watch Kaitlyn play,
because she has a big smile on her face when she gets the ball.
The coach had someone taking pictures at some of the
games with a much better camera than ours.
He got some great action shots of Kaitlyn.
And yes, she does have a smile on her face.

Yes - Kaitlyn is #2 and just missed scoring a goal.

This was Logan's 5th year of playing soccer.
He has had the same coach and a lot of the same players
for a few years now. It's fun to watch them play.
Logan's broken arm kept him out of a few games this season,
but he was able to finish the season wearing a brace when he played.

As you can see he was excited to get his trophy.
Is the team mom angry with the coach or Logan?

Miniature Golfing

Kaitlyn and Logan were out of school for Veteran's Day so we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go miniature golfing. It's so nice to have a relaxing day with not much to do every once in awhile. We all had a great day!

Halloween Night

At first we were a little sad because dad was going to be out of town working on Halloween, but we lucked out. At 7:00pm we opened the door to start our Trick-or-Treating and he pulled in the driveway, got out of his truck and said lets go.
What cute Trick-or Treaters!

"Give me all your candy, or else"

Sweet Success!!

Carving Pumpkins

We had a lot of fun carving our pumpkins this year.
Watch out Logan's got a knife (scary).
What a cute pumpkin carver!
The finished products -
Guess whose jack-o-lantern was stabbed with a knife?

WARD HALLOWEEN PARTY

As usual we had a great time at our Ward Halloween Party. Here are some of our pictures from the night...
Aarrgh - our pirate buddies Mallory and Lauren looked so cute at the party

Anakin (Jaxson) makes one cool Jedi

Wolverine (Jacob) stayed in character from the minute he walked in the room

Logan and his fellow gangster Christopher looked sharp in their matching suits

Logan was allowed one round of Trunk-or-Treating and then handed out candy with mom.

We thought we were so festive when we put a spider web in the back of our van for Trunk-or-Treating,

but others went all out on the car decorating. One family of mad scientists decorated the back of their car like a science laboratory - brain included. The bishop had a huge blow up spider on the top of his car and another one inside his car. The entire car was wrapped in spider webs.

Young Women's
Halloween Party 2009
Kaitlyn made a cute cowgirl once again and I went as a baby. Kaitlyn and Logan were both very
surprised to see me dress up for the party. Logan cracked himself up when he saw me after the party - he said, "so did you have fun at the party you big baby?" He thought he was so funny.

At the party we served spaghetti (brains), salad and garlic bread. We decorated cupcakes for dessert. Kaitlyn and I made chocolate covered pretzels to give to the girls. They were in the shape of ghosts and haunted mansions.

The apple juice was spiked with a little dry ice - very cool.

Halloween Party

Kaitlyn's friend, Paige, arrived at the door
one day with a package.
Inside the package were these three fingers.

Kaitlyn was a little grossed out at first,
but then discovered they were tasty little fingers that
were reminding her to join Paige at her house for
a Halloween party.
The Hillbilly and The Hobo
(aka Kaitlyn and Madisen)
looked so cute as they headed off to the party.
They had lots of fun creating their mummy pumpkins.

This is the group from the party.
They all had a great time.

Painting Our Pumpkins

One of our Halloween traditions is painting a pumpkin.
Kaitlyn usually paints one that goes along with her costume.
As you can see this year she is a cowgirl -- yeehaw!

Logan made his dad proud
and painted a helicopter on his pumpkin.
