Farmer Logan
Logan was very excited to plant a garden this summer.
He tried to start some of his vegetables from seed.
He was very good about taking care of his garden.
His most successful crop was zucchini.
We ate a lot and gave away a ton.
Even Tomy the turtle enjoyed Logan's garden.

Workin' at the Carwash
For our youth activity this week we had a car wash to help earn money for the
CHP Officer, Kenyon Youngstrom, that was recently killed
during a traffic stop on Highway 680.
Logan was very happy to help with advertising before he headed off for Scouts.
I'm sure he was using some crazy dance moves to attract attention.
We had a steady stream of cars the whole time.
Who can resist such cute kids and a great cause.
One very nice lady drove up and wanted to donate, but she didn't want a car wash.
She only had a dollar, but she wanted to help!
Jaxson, Taylor and Mallory were happy to help out.
We even had a CHP Officer come by and help.
(Unfortunately she had to help with a fender bender in the parking lot that involved one of the church members that nicely came by to support the cause - so sorry Aubrey!)
We were all very excited that Lauren is now 12 and can
officially join Young Women's with us!!!
The kids worked hard and did a great job!
In an hour and a half they earned $652 for Officer Youngstrom's family.
The CHP Officer was very complimentary of our group.
So glad our youth were willing to serve and they all had fun at the same time.

"Labor" Day Weekend
We decided to take the word labor in the Labor Day Weekend seriously this year and put new bark in our backyard.
Kaitlyn and Logan didn't like the idea, but were good sports and we actually got it done much faster than we thought we would.
After a hard day of work we did have to see The Avengers and enjoy a delicious Fudruckers burger to reward ourselves for our labors!

School Days
Sadly yesterday was the first day of school.
Logan decided to accept the fact school was starting and
was excited to start Middle School.
That's right Logan is now a 6th grader at Black Diamond Middle School.
Still can't believe Kaitlyn is in high school and now she is already
a Sophomore at Deer Valley High School.
Our first day of school "chalkboard brownies".
Please notice they posed in front of the cute new school banner :)
Logan came home and said he likes Middle School better than Elementary School.
Kaitlyn said her first day was "OK"
So relieved they survived their first day and we're all hoping for a great year.

Idaho
We were able to take a quick trip to Idaho this summer.
We were excited to visit Eric and Kris and their kids.
Henry has grown so much since we saw him last year.
We all had fun playing with him.
Macy was in a triathalon while we were there so we were able to cheer her on to victory.
Great job Macy!
Jack and Kaitlyn at dinner.
They became fast friends.
We of course had to fit in some shopping.
One of our stops was to "Knit Wits".
We went to Boise every summer growing up to visit my grandparents.
After hitting the drive thru at "The Big Bun" for the best french fries my mom and I would go to "Knit Wits".
This is the same sign they had from when I was a girl.
We're a little afraid they had the same carpet too :)
Henry is tooooo cute!!
Make your own pizza night.
Jack looked cute chatting with grandpa.
Henry playing with grandpa.
Max's big day - "Baptism Take 2"
Such a cute family.
After the baptism Kris set up an Italian Ice Cart.
Logan is still talking about how much he loved it.
Thanks for everything Gwilliams - we had a great time!!
