For our youth activity this week we had a car wash to help earn money for the
CHP Officer, Kenyon Youngstrom, that was recently killed
during a traffic stop on Highway 680.
Logan was very happy to help with advertising before he headed off for Scouts.
I'm sure he was using some crazy dance moves to attract attention.
We had a steady stream of cars the whole time.
Who can resist such cute kids and a great cause.
One very nice lady drove up and wanted to donate, but she didn't want a car wash.
She only had a dollar, but she wanted to help!
Jaxson, Taylor and Mallory were happy to help out.
We even had a CHP Officer come by and help.
(Unfortunately she had to help with a fender bender in the parking lot that involved one of the church members that nicely came by to support the cause - so sorry Aubrey!)
We were all very excited that Lauren is now 12 and can
officially join Young Women's with us!!!
The kids worked hard and did a great job!
In an hour and a half they earned $652 for Officer Youngstrom's family.
The CHP Officer was very complimentary of our group.
So glad our youth were willing to serve and they all had fun at the same time.
