A Day At the Beach

Megan and Kyle couldn't remember if they had ever been to the beach so we had to add that to our list of things to do while they were here.

We were a little worried when it started to rain as soon as we parked the car, but the sky evenutally cleared up and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

Kaitlyn and Megan enjoyed playing in the sand and

relaxing and visiting on the beach.

We even saw dolphins swimming in the ocean near us - very cool!

Kyle and Logan had a great time playing in the water.

Hairstyling by Megan

Yet another reason Megan needs to live closer - she can make Kaitlyn's hair look so cute and curly!

Hopefully she can teach me how to do it like this before she leaves, but more importantly how to get it stay curly for more than 5 minutes.

Our Day With the Giants

Megan and Kyle had so much fun when we went to the Giants game last year that they wanted to do again this summer...so today was the big day.

We started off on BART...always an adventure.

Cute girls at the ballpark!

Grandma is so proud that Megan has become such a baseball fan after seeing her first professional game live last year.

I enjoy going to the Giants games to spend time with my family and for the view. This was our view for the game - oh and the field of course :).

It was a gorgeous day!

Logan was so happy to be watching his Giants once again!!

They are crossing their fingers that the Giants are world champions again this year!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!

She was so nice to help frost her own birthday cupcakes...

and then licked the bowl clean!

It's so hard to believe that she is already 14!

How did that happen?

San FranciscoTourists

Megan and Kyle arrived last night for a week of fun.

We thought we would start out by spending the day in

San Francisco.

First stop - the cable cars.

So wish I got a picture of the front of this street performer,

we'd never seen this guy before - all that silver stuff above his head

was attached to him - crazy!

Grandpa wasn't able to go with us so we took this picture in front

of a John Deere tractor in his honor.

We took a tour of the bay on the Blue & Gold Fleet

The kids enjoyed the binoculars they gave them.

The San Francisco fog at the Golden Gate Bridge.

The tours to Alcatraz were sold out

so this was a close as we could get.

Such a fun day!

Happy Birthday

Zac

Logan knew just what Zac would want for his 13th birthday - PIE!

So Logan helped me make him an apple pie and we served it up for his breakfast.

We were glad we could spend your birthday with you!

Happy 4th

We spent the 4th this year with Grandma and Grandpa Gwilliam.

When we got home from swimming we were lucky to find

that Grandma had just finished making cookies.

No need to wait to cook them - the dough is delicious!

After cookie dough and dinner (in that order)

Grandpa passed out fireworks.

Zac was spending the week with us while his family was in Utah.
He stayed to play in a baseball tournament and was able to join
us in our 4th of July festivities.

Sportin' their glow in the dark gear while we watched the fireworks!

We Survived Again!!

Kaitlyn and I just returned from our 2nd year at girls camp

and we had a great time!

(Madie and Joanne on the bus ride up to camp)

The girls at our first campfire.

I was lucky enough to be in crafts again this year.

It's the best place for a non-camper like me to be :)

The girls made memory blocks which turned out very cute and they

seemed to really enjoy creating them.

I love watching the girls laughing and having fun as they hang out together around camp.

Cheyenne getting ready for the her skit later that night.

Seeing Madie off before her big hike.

I was so proud that she completed her 3rd year hike and is officially a back packer now.
Great job Madie!!

Kaper duty in the kitchen.

The bishops challenge on Friday afternoon turned into a big water fight.

My favorite part of camp again this year was watching Kaitlyn

have such a great time at girls camp.

She loved it and she can't wait to go again next year!
